renewables
Renewable sources of energy, also known as renewables, are energy sources derived from natural processes which are constantly renewed. These include solar energy and wind power, hydroelectric power and geothermic energy as well as bio-energy. Renewables' main job is to provide electric power, heating and fuels in ways that are sustainable and do as little harm to the environment as possible. The technological set-ups around the world follow three similar steps: 1) they capture some form of natural energy from outside; 2 find themselves something to fill with materials out of which what has been captured can be made usable for human beings (if we think in terms of electrical power generating plants or oil refining equipment); this is referred ‘Second Law' (though not really) 3) finally, renewable energy combines direct use of raw materials and their conversion process output. For example, solar panels absorb sunlight to make electric power, and converted wind energy is the power source of wind-driven generators. Applications range from domestic to industrial, providing electricity for homes and businesses (even local communities). By reducing reliance on fossil fuels, renewables help build a cleaner, more sustainable future.
